Here is what to do.. if you believe that a pet animal is being neglected, abused or has been abandoned:
- Call your local animal control agency or police department
- If the animal(s) of concern are within the County or unincorporated areas of Colorado contact your county sheriff's department.

1. Contact the Colorado State Veterinarian's Office

- Cats.. Denkai Intakes cats from local contracted municipalities on an as needed basis. We do accept owner surrenders on a limited basis and with funding.
- Dogs.. Denkai intakes dogs from local and national municipalities and rescue groups on an ongoing basis. We do accept owner surrenders on a limited basis and with funding.

- Equine.. Denkai intakes equine through our relationship with local and national rescue organizations and sheriff's departments as needed. We do accept owner surrenders on a limited basis and with funding.

- Farm Animals.. Denkai works with local and national rescue groups for farm animal intake We do accept owner surrenders on a limited bases and with funding.
