Denkai specializes in the rescue of pet animals, equine and farm animals - each of these face very distinct battles. Nearly 4 million pet animals are euthanized in shelters annually. Tens of thousands of Equine are slaughtered annually for human consumption overseas after being transported to Mexican and Canadian slaughter plants. Farm animals in factory farms routinely face a fate worse than death on a daily basis.
Denkai is the only organization to offer services to all domestic animals, large and small. With two facilities totalling 640 acres in Weld County, Colorado, Denkai is the largest domestic animals quality of life; no-kill organization of its kind in Northern Colorado..
Since taking on the Adoption Center in Greeley, 2010, Denkai has successfully found homes for more than 2,000 cats and dogs of whom otherwise faced euthanasia, 20 horses, and more than 5 goats. More than 500 public animals have benefited from our subsidized spay and neuter clinics. Over 100 youth in crisis have benefited from our programs, and well over 6000 community youth have benefited from our educational programs.
