Before & After
The Denkai Adoption Center facility was formerly K-9 Bed and Biscuit, a sub-standard pet animal facility near Greeley, CO, which was edging into closure if Denkai did not take over the operations.

In February of 2010, Denkai Sanctuary took on, through a lease agreement, the now Denkai Adoption Center facility near Greeley, CO. This involved 46 kennels for rescue dogs, cat facilities (indoor and outdoor) and one small 700 square foot house.

As of Denkai’s take-over, the facility housed 80 dogs and 10 cats.  Ninety percent of the dogs in this facility have been there over four (4) years. Cleaning procedures were not being followed.  Veterinary care such as vaccinations, spay/neuter and worming was not up to date.

Faced with seemingly insurmountable hurdles in the form of required repairs, Denkai raised close to $100,000 in contributions to complete many tasks (outlined in the PDF below page 2-3) and successfully passed licensing with PACFA.
