Board of Directors

GoodSearch: You Search...We Give!

Denkai consists of a very active and enthusiastic Board of six experienced Directors. This board is actively involved on a daily basis with the Sanctuary. Board members are actively heading up and participating in fundraisers, development of educational programs for the community, directing our Feral Cat Initiative, development of our At-Risk Youth Program and actively putting in time transferring animals from other shelters, working at the Sanctuary doing physical labor and running our Mobile Adoption Program, not to mention helping to market the Sanctuary on a regular basis and providing donations of cash.

Denkai is in search of additional individuals to be part of the board of directors. We are especially interested in those who have accounting skills and/or experience in law.

Please contact Floss Blackburn if you are interested.

Denkai Animal Sanctuary has been organized to operate exclusively for charitable, scientific, prevention of cruelty to animals, and educational purposes within the meaning of section 501 (c) 3 of the Internal Revenue Code.

This Sanctuary provides adoption services and a permanent home for close to 90 animals including horses, llamas, pot bellied pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, turkeys, dogs and even a few cats.

We operate through kind volunteers, and in turn give them the opportunity to foster compassion for these abused and neglected animals by helping with their maintenance and rehabilitation. We also work with several local educational establishments and have worked with mentally and physically challenged adults and kids. We believe in helping these animals and giving back to the community.
