Augusta MounBreed: Arabian/MorganAge: 7 Years Color: Bay Weight: Approx 500 lb Sex: Mare Comments: Augusta Moun has a best friend in Lucero here at the Sanctuary. Augusta has been started under saddle. Our trainer was able to actually ride her bareback with a halter and lead rope. She responds pretty well to reigning commands, but will need more work with that. Augusta has been ground worked here at the Sanctuary and has done really well with that. Augusta is a great prospect for a child or a light adult rider with an experienced, gentle trainer. |

BashkiraBreed: 1/2 ArabianAge: 26 Years Color: Chestnut Weight: Approx 700 lb Sex: Mare Farrier: Does excellent as long as you keep her mouth busy. Comments: Bashkira has been a wonderful horse, she is kind, gentle, halters, trailers and leads very well. Bashkira has never been ridden, she was used as a brood mare, which we will not allow. Bashkira needs grain daily to maintain her weight and would make an excellent pasture pal. |

El LuceroBreed: ArabianAge: 8 Years Color: Chestnut Weight: Approx 500 lb Sex: Gelding Comments: Lucero has a best friend here, Augusta Moun. These two are joined at the hip and can be seen everywhere together. Lucero does not appear to have had much training. He is very easy to halter, his has done very well for the farrier and has a very good mind. Our trainer was able to sit on him bareback with a leader. Lucero did not appear to know anything, but is very willing to learn and did not exhibit any behavioral issues such as bucking, kicking, or skittishness. Lucero would be a great prospect to train as a children’s horse or for a light adult rider. It is our hope that he would stay with his friend Augusta. |

Gentleman Jim/ GentlyBreed: ArabianAge: 8 Years Color: Liver Chestnut Weight: Approx 500 lb Sex: Gelding Farrier: It's a bit of a struggle. Comments: Gently is a very special boy. Due to poor genetics and breeding practices, Gently has a very large under bite. He is a small Arabian and can be skittish until he trusts you completely. Gently will probably do best as a pasture pal for a while. We really would not recommend him as a riding horse, though ground work and training would do a world of good for him. |

Comments: Jasmine can be a bit fun to halter, but once caught, she does very well. She leads well, is very responsive and trusting. Jasmine was said to have been used in a camp program previously. We are still learning this pony, but she has potential! |

Lady GweniviereBreed: ArabianAge: 11 Years Color: Bay Weight: Approx 700 lb Sex: Mare Farrier: A little jittery, but does pretty well considering. Comments: Lady Gwenivere was used strictly as breeding stock, we would never recommend this. Lady Gwenivere can be haltered, you must gain her trust first though. Gwenivere still has the potential as a riding horse. She has a good mind. She leads well, we have not had a chance to ground work her at this point. |

Lady JosephineBreed: 1/2 Arabian (99%)Age: 14 Years Color: Chestnut Weight: Approx 1000 lb Sex: Mare Comments: Lady Josephine/"Carne" is a beautiful mare. In her description, she is said to have some rides on her, she has not been ridden with a bit and would require an expert rider. We believe that this is pretty accurate. Josephine has been easy to halter and leads well, she can be a bit skittish and has done pretty well for our farrier. She will definitely need some reminders and a person that is experienced. See a video of Lady Josephine |

Madame XBreed: ArabianAge: 13 Years Color: Grey Weight: Approx 700 lb Sex: Mare Farrier: A little jittery, but does pretty well considering. Comments: Madame X is very bonded with her son, Willie. It is our hope that these two stay together, we truly believe that they would emotionally and then physically perish without each other. Madame X has had some rides on her, needs an expert only and was not ridden under bit. From our observations, she is pretty skittish, but will calm as she learns to trust. We definitely think that she would be an excellent riding prospect. |

Paper MounBreed: ArabianAge: 22 Years Color: Bay Weight: Approx 650 lb Sex: Mare Farrier: A little jittery, but does pretty well considering. Comments: Paper Moun was used strictly as breeding stock, we would never recommend this. Paper Moun is very sweet and easy to halter, and has been under saddle for a 5 mile ride. We would recommend her for a intermediate level rider. Even though she hadn't been ridden for 5 years, she was a wonderful on the trails. |

RasmeenaBreed: ArabianAge: 14 Years Color: Bay Weight: Approx 950 lb Sex: Mare Farrier: A little jittery, but does pretty well considering. Comments: When Rasmeena first arrived, she had a mass on her eyelid that proved to be a tumor. This was treated immediately and has not returned, her eyelid and eyesight is normal. Rasmeena was used strictly as breeding stock, we would never recommend this knowing her history. She is absolutely stunning and we believe that given proper training and time, she would make an excellent riding prospect. Experienced to Advanced handler/rider needed. |

Rhedd ButlerBreed: 1/2 ArabianAge: 17 Years Color: Chestnut Weight: Approx 1000 lb Sex: Gelding Comments: Rhedd Butler is absolutely stunning, he has national show horse written all over him. He has had some time under saddle, but requires an expert rider. Rhedd does tend to nibble once in a while. He is very responsive under halter and trusting. He will need a lot of reminders as to his training, but would make an incredible riding/show horse. |

Sylver MounBreed: ArabianAge: 17 Years Color: Chestnut Weight: Approx 850 lb Sex: Mare Farrier: Has been easy to handle for the farrier. Comments: Sylver Moun entered the Sanctuary with her 4 month old foal at her side. Her nickname is “Yoda” due to the cuteness of her little ears! Sylver has supposedly been ridden previously as part of a camp for teaching ground school and riding. She has not been trained to a bit. Sylver is easy to halter, leads and trailers well and has a very sweet disposition. |

Sylver's ColtBreed: ArabianAge: 2 Years Color: Bay Weight: Approx 450 lb Sex: Gelding Farrier: A little jittery, but does pretty well considering. Hard to trim on his hind. Comments: This little boy is very sweet, his hind legs touch at the knees, so he is a bit sad on his composition, we honestly don't think at this point that he will be rideable due to some hip and hind leg issues. He does halter and lead well. We plan to explore chiropractic alternatives for him. |

Una MounBreed: ArabianAge: 22 Years Color: Bay Weight: Approx 700 lb Sex: Mare Farrier: A little jittery, but does pretty well considering. Comments: Una Moun was used strictly as breeding stock, we would never recommend this. Una Moun is very sweet and easy to halter, at this point, she would probably be best as a pasture pal for another horse. She leads well, we have not had a chance to ground work her at this point. |

WillieBreed: ArabianAge: 7 Years Color: Grey Weight: Approx 700 lb Sex: Gelding Farrier: A little jittery, requires a lot of patience and gentling. Comments: Willie is a total sweetheart and is fairly easy to halter, he has begun to trust us more and more, but is still very skittish, especially with his legs. He has a hard time understanding what the farrier is trying to do with his hooves. Willie would be a great prospect for an owner that was willing to work with a trainer or that is very experienced. |
