Fonzie has a very happy go lucky personality and has quickly become a favorite here at the Sanctuary!

Charlotte Charlotte was picked up as a stray in the streets of Loveland by Larimer Humane Society. They quickly discovered her escapee potential after chasing her a few times and when nobody claimed her, she was passed on to our Sanctuary.

This little lady is around a year old and has a lot of growing to do! This is one pig that will never see a holiday dinner from the plate! She will live her life out here at our Sanctuary!

We would like to thank Cache La Poudre Feeds in Fort Collins for supplying her with plenty of feed for the next few weeks!

Chico struts his stuff for our camera. Say Hello to My Little Friend! Chico is a polish rooster. He was one of many purchased at a feed store and since he did not turn out a hen, he was unwanted. Chico is very sweet, loves to roost on his little house and would love to meet his sponsor.

Liberty has been safe with our Sanctuary for the last 6 years.

Our family of goats looking for who is bringing their grub. Nine goats from Colorado Springs have found Sanctuary at Denkai. These goats were becoming neglected due to owner depression issues. He started with three goats and ended up with 8.

These goats have not had a lot of handling, so were pretty wild when they first entered our Sanctuary, but have calmed down tremendously, 5 of these were bucks and have been castrated thanks to the help of Dr. Barb Roberts of Loveland, CO.

The three females are all very pregnant and due any day for kids. We are looking for homes for the male goats in a couple of weeks.

Mabel our favorite female turkey struts her stuff. Maybell is a domestic female turkey. She was the result of a feed store purchase, somebody who wanted her as a pet. Well a year later and way too much time in a cage left her headed for the chopping block and then a cook pot with very few feathers left to show on her breast or tail.

We thank her rescuers who worked hard to get her to our Sanctuary and save her from ending up as dinner. Maybell had no idea what to do with herself here. She knew humans but not what freedom was. Poor thing! She was at a loss for what to do here until she spotted two more turkeys! Now she happily roams free on our Sanctuary and her feathers are beginning to come back, she is so very inquisitive and a joy to pet!

Some our our resident sheep enjoying the sun. There are currently several sheep that call the sanctuary home. Three of them came from another sanctuary that shut down. They were the lucky ones, products of factory farming. Luckily, they have been able to live to a ripe old age in both of our sanctuaries.

The other three came from a herd which had been attacked, they were the three survivors. They are here to live out their lives and would absolutely enjoy your sponsorship and caring donations. They need alfalfa hay, salt, and minerals and enjoy a treat if you happen to have one hanging out in your pocket!
