Stranded Rescue Transport Still Needs Help!

These yearling and weanling horses need your help. We have a place to temporarily house them in Cortez where they will be safe, but if we can not get them transported to our facility in Grover, CO, we can not help them! The Sanctuary's Director, Floss Blackburn will be staying in Cortez with these horses to care for them until transport can be found.

Here's how you can help, this transport has cost three times the amount it was originally budgeted for. We need to raise $1,000 to get these horses back to our Sanctuary facility in Grover and to the people that are waiting to adopt them. This money raised will provide for a hauler to transport them for us since we no longer have a pickup.

We want to thank the many people who have contributed to this effort, you are all Angels for saving these babies from slaughter, thank you. We want to follow this through and finish this rescue and look forward to your continued support.

Denkai Animal Sanctuary has been organized to operate exclusively for charitable, scientific, prevention of cruelty to animals, and educational purposes within the meaning of section 501 (c) 3 of the Internal Revenue Code.

This Sanctuary provides adoption services and a permanent home for close to 90 animals including horses, llamas, pot bellied pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, turkeys, dogs and even a few cats.

We operate through kind volunteers, and in turn give them the opportunity to foster compassion for these abused and neglected animals by helping with their maintenance and rehabilitation. We also work with several local educational establishments and have worked with mentally and physically challenged adults and kids. We believe in helping these animals and giving back to the community.
